In the urban rail transit, the traction motor works in the state of generating electricity and feeds back the energy to the power grid. In this case, the asynchronous motor will become an asynchronous generator, and the mechanical energy of the load will be converted to electrical energy and fed back to the brake resistor cabinet. However, when the feed back energy is too large, the overvoltage protection circuit of the brake resistor cabinet itself will operate and cut off the output of the brake resistor cabinet, causing the motor to freely decelerate, but fail to achieve the purpose of rapid deceleration. In order to avoid the above phenomenon, make the above energy self-consumption in the other part of the DC intermediate circuit without causing voltage increase, the voltage brake resistor cabinet is usually used regenerative braking circuit. Electricity power resistors include neutral grounding resistance, grounding neutral grounding device, HVDC filter resistance, SVC filter resistance, high voltage start-up resistance and pre-charge resistance.
