Braking resistor work process

The resulting three-phase AC EMF is rectified by the inverter's internal rectifier. In inverters without energy feedback system, the continuously generated regenerative energy keeps the DC link voltage in the inverter continuously rising.

2. When the voltage on the DC bus rises to the preset voltage of the braking unit, the power switch of the braking unit is turned on, and the current flows through the braking resistor to discharge the braking resistor.

3, turn on the braking resistor to work, the regenerative energy into heat and release, the rapid reduction of regenerative energy on the line, the motor speed down, the inverter DC bus voltage decreases.

4, the DC bus voltage is reduced to the brake unit pre-set off voltage, the brake unit power tube off. At this moment the brake resistor stops working and naturally radiates, the temperature of the brake resistor decreases.

5, the voltage on the DC bus rises again to make the braking unit operating voltage, the braking unit will repeat the above process, the control bus voltage within a range, the system normal operation, but also protect the machine from damage.
